Danida seeks Long Term Senior Energy Adviser (N2) Ethiopia Senior Long Term adviser (N2) in Ethiopia, Enhanced Danish-Ethiopian Energy Partnership Programme. Ministry of Water and Energy As adviser you will support the Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE), in the overall coordination of the ‘Danish-Ethiopian Energy Partnership Programme (DEEP)’, to ensure achievement of objectives, progress and coherence. An overall goal of the programme is that the energy policy and regulatory decision-making process in Ethiopia will be based on “choice awareness” guided by least-cost perspective and state-of-the-art long-term energy planning and modelling. The adviser will have office in MoWE and the work will take place in close cooperation with the relevant teams from both Ethiopia Electric Power (EEP) and within MoWE as well as with the sector counsellor at the embassy and the Danish experts e.g. from DEA, Energinet, Green Power Denmark and Danish consultants.

You have ability to work at inter-disciplinary teams and capacity to work with a high level of initiative and diplomacy, and with multiple participants and stakeholders. You hold a master level degree and have theoretical and practical experience with energy planning, least-cost planning, regulation of energy sector, data analyses, cross border power trade, modelling of energy systems, demand prognoses, financing and business environment is essential. You are fluent in English. Fluency in Danish is an advantage
